The routine cleanliness level of vaginal discharge is within the normal range of I-II degrees. The cleanliness of vaginal discharge is an important indicator reflecting the vaginal microecological environment. It is graded by examining the proportion of epithelial cells, white blood cells, and miscellaneous bacteria in vaginal secretions under a microscope. Grade I indicates the presence of a large number of vaginal epithelial cells and a small amount of lactobacilli in the field of view, with almost no white blood cells, which is an ideal state. Grade II shows moderate amounts of vaginal epithelial cells and lactobacilli, with no more than 10 white blood cells per high-power field of view, still belonging to the healthy category. When the cleanliness reaches level III, the number of white blood cells increases significantly, exceeding 10 per high-power field of view, and a small amount of miscellaneous bacteria can be seen, indicating the possibility of mild vaginitis. Grade IV cleanliness indicates a significant decrease or disappearance of white blood cells and miscellaneous bacteria, as well as lactobacilli, usually indicating the presence of a significant vaginal infection. The examination results are affected by factors such as menstrual cycle, sexual activity, and sampling procedures. It is recommended to have a re examination 3-7 days after the menstrual cycle is clean, and avoid sexual activity and vaginal lavage 24 hours before sampling.

Keep the external genitalia clean and dry, choose cotton breathable underwear and change it daily to avoid long-term use of pads. Daily cleaning with clean water is sufficient, there is no need to frequently use detergent. Pay attention to sexual hygiene and use condoms if necessary. Supplement yogurt containing probiotics appropriately in diet and reduce intake of high sugar foods. If there is itching, odor, or abnormal increase in secretions, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly for a routine check of vaginal discharge.
