What illness is urgent or not serious

Diseases that are urgent but not serious are often caused by functional disorders or mild infections, such as gastrointestinal colds, acute urticaria, orthostatic hypotension, etc. They usually do not require overtreatment but require symptomatic treatment.

1. Gastrointestinal cold

virus invades the digestive tract, causing vomiting and diarrhea, which mostly resolves within 3 days. Oral rehydration salts prevent dehydration, montmorillonite powder repairs intestinal mucosa, and Huoxiang Zhengqi water alleviates nausea. Avoid greasy food and choose digestible food such as millet porridge and steamed apple.

2. Acute urticaria

Allergen irritation causes skin wheals and itching, which can subside within 24 hours. Chlorpheniramine tablets block histamine, calamine lotion relieves itching, and in severe cases, dexamethasone is injected. Keep a food diary to identify allergens and wear pure cotton clothing to reduce friction.

3. Postural hypotension [SEP]: Rapid standing up can cause insufficient blood supply to the brain, resulting in blackening of the eyes. Blood pressure monitoring eliminates organic lesions, increases water and salt intake, and improves circulation by wearing elastic socks. When waking up, follow the "three 30 seconds": lie down for 30 seconds, sit up for 30 seconds, and let your legs hang down for 30 seconds.

4. Otolith syndrome

Dizziness caused by the shedding of calcium carbonate crystals in the inner ear, lasting less than 1 minute. Ear stone reduction surgery is the gold standard, combined with betamethasone sulfonate to improve microcirculation. Raise the head of the bed by 15 degrees during sleep to avoid sudden head turning movements.

5. Hyperventilation syndrome

Emotional agitation leads to respiratory alkalosis, resulting in numbness in the hands and feet. Paper bag suction method increases carbon dioxide concentration, while alprazolam alleviates anxiety. Abdominal breathing training is conducted twice a day for 5 minutes each time.

Maintain calmness during the onset of such diseases and monitor basic indicators such as body temperature and pulse. Basic medications such as oral rehydration salts and antihistamines are commonly used at home. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours or if there is a change in consciousness, prompt medical attention is required. Pay attention to distinguishing seemingly mild but potentially worsening symptoms, such as abdominal pain with fever, which may indicate appendicitis.
