The correct method for boiling eggs with hot water

The correct way to boil eggs with boiling water is to slowly pour boiling water into the beaten egg mixture and continue stirring until egg whites form. The water temperature should reach 100 degrees Celsius to fully sterilize.

It is recommended to control the ratio of egg mixture to boiling water between 1:3 and 1:5. First, beat the fresh eggs thoroughly until there are no obvious protein lumps, and then pour them into a heat-resistant container. Boiling water should be allowed to stand for 10 seconds after being removed from the heat before use. Slowly pour it in from the edge of the container in a fine stream, while quickly stirring clockwise with chopsticks. When the water temperature is insufficient, the egg yolk may not fully solidify. It is recommended to use a thermometer to confirm that the water temperature meets the standard. Continuous stirring during the brewing process helps to form uniform egg yolks, which can be covered and stewed for 30 seconds to enhance the taste. In special circumstances, if sterile or pasteurized eggs are used, the water temperature can be appropriately reduced to around 80 degrees Celsius. For people with weak digestive function, the stewing time can be extended to 1 minute to make the egg yolk softer and more tender. Attention should be paid to disinfecting the container with boiling water in advance. The surface of raw eggs may carry Salmonella, so it is necessary to avoid contact between the eggshell and the egg liquid during operation. Prepared egg custard should be eaten freshly, as leaving it for more than 2 hours can easily breed bacteria.

Choose fresh, crack free eggs and clean the surface of the eggshell with running water before brewing. People with gastrointestinal sensitivity can add a little ginger juice or white pepper powder to warm their stomach, and pair it with whole wheat bread or oatmeal to increase dietary fiber intake. It is not recommended to replace fully cooked eggs with boiled eggs for a long time. It is advisable to consume them no more than 3 times a week. Children and the elderly should ensure that the egg whites are completely solidified before consumption. If discomfort symptoms such as diarrhea occur, stop using the medication immediately and seek medical attention.
