Chongyang Customs and Health Preservation

The ancient Chinese theory of yin and yang states that there are six genera of yin and nine genera of yang, with nine genera belonging to yang. On the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, the month and day are nine, and it is traditionally known as the "Double Ninth Festival" or the Elderly Festival. There is a custom of climbing mountains among the people on this day, so the Double Ninth Festival is also known as the "Climbing Festival".

Tang Wangwei wrote a poem called "Remembering Shandong Brothers on the Ninth of September", which reads: "Alone in a foreign land, as a stranger, I miss my relatives even more during festivals.
