Hepatitis B is usually not checked in the electronic factory. China's Employment Promotion Law and the Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases clearly stipulate that employers shall not be forced to test hepatitis B virus markers except for special occupations stipulated by the state. The general workers in the electronics factory do not belong to the special occupational scope of hepatitis B detection stipulated by the state. The general physical examination items for electronic factory employees include basic tests such as blood routine, urine routine, liver function, chest X-ray, etc., mainly screening for infectious diseases and basic health status. The liver function test only reflects the liver function indicators, and does not involve the specific detection of hepatitis B virus. Some companies may increase inspection items due to the special nature of their positions, but they must follow the principle of voluntary participation and protect personal privacy. If abnormal liver function is found during the physical examination, further examination may be recommended to clarify the cause, but it will not be used as a basis for rejection of employment.

When hepatitis B virus carriers have normal liver function and no clinical symptoms, the law guarantees their equal employment rights. The employing unit shall not refuse to employ or dismiss employees on the ground of carrying hepatitis B virus. In case of mandatory testing or employment discrimination, complaints can be made to the local labor supervision department. Daily attention should be paid to avoid overwork, regular monitoring of liver function, and inoculation of hepatitis B vaccine is an effective measure to prevent infection.
