A physical examination revealed that kidney stones smaller than 0.6 centimeters can usually be expelled on their own. The probability of kidney stones being expelled is related to the size, location, and individual differences of the stones, and can be promoted through methods such as drinking more water and moderate exercise. When kidney stones are less than 0.6 centimeters, most of them can be naturally excreted through the urinary system. These small stones are prone to flow with urine, enter the bladder through the ureter, and are excreted from the body. The recommended daily water intake for patients is 2000-3000 milliliters, as increasing urine output can help flush the urinary tract. Moderately engage in jumping exercises such as skipping rope, stepping up and down stairs, etc., using gravity to assist in stone movement. Some patients may experience lower back pain or mild discomfort during urination, which is usually a transient manifestation. In rare cases, stones may be retained due to irregular shape or ureteral stenosis. If symptoms such as persistent severe back pain, hematuria, and fever occur, it suggests the possibility of ureteral obstruction or infection, and prompt medical attention is required. Doctors may prescribe drugs such as sustained-release capsules of tamsulosin to relax the ureter, or use extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for treatment depending on the situation. Long term sitting, high salt diet, and insufficient water intake habits may increase the risk of stone recurrence.

It is necessary to maintain a low salt and low purine diet in daily life, reduce the intake of high purine foods such as animal organs and seafood, and supplement citrus fruits appropriately. Regular follow-up of urinary system ultrasound can monitor changes in stones and avoid sudden renal colic during intense exercise. If the stone has not been discharged for more than 3 months or the symptoms worsen, further evaluation should be conducted in the urology department.
