Female posterior lumbar pain may be related to factors such as pelvic congestion, muscle strain, urinary system infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, and lumbar disc herniation. Post sexual lower back pain is usually manifested as soreness, swelling, or stabbing pain in the lower back, which may be accompanied by symptoms such as discomfort in the perineum and abnormal urination. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly to investigate the cause, avoid vigorous exercise, and pay attention to local warmth.
1. Pelvic congestion
Pelvic vascular dilation during sexual activity may lead to persistent congestion, stimulating the lumbar nerves and causing soreness. This condition is usually accompanied by a feeling of bloating in the lower abdomen, which can be relieved by applying heat to the lower abdomen. If the pain does not subside for more than 24 hours, one should be alert to pelvic congestion syndrome and it is recommended to undergo pelvic ultrasound examination.
2. Muscle strain
Excessive force on the waist muscles during sexual activity may cause muscle fiber micro damage, manifested as stretching pain during activity. This type of pain is mostly limited to the sacroiliac joint area and can be relieved by massage to relieve muscle spasms. It is recommended to use infrared therapy lamps for local irradiation, which can help with recovery for 15 minutes a day.
3. Urinary system infection
Urethritis or cystitis may cause bacterial ascending infection due to sexual stimulation, leading to lower back radiating pain. Often accompanied by symptoms of frequent urination and urgency, medication such as levofloxacin hydrochloride tablets and Sanjin tablets can be used according to medical advice. It is recommended to urinate promptly after sexual activity and drink at least 2000 milliliters of water daily.
4. Pelvic inflammatory disease
Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease patients are prone to persistent dull pain in the lumbar and sacral regions after sexual activity, which may be accompanied by abnormal vaginal discharge. Routine and gynecological examinations of leucorrhea are required. Common drugs include traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations such as Jingangteng capsule and Fuyankang tablet. During acute attacks, it is necessary to rest in bed and avoid taking baths.
5. Lumbar disc herniation
Patients with pre-existing lumbar lesions may experience increased nerve compression and lower limb numbness accompanied by lower back pain due to improper positioning during sexual activity. Suggest improving lumbar MRI examination, and short-term use of Loxoprofen Sodium Patch during the acute phase. Daily exercise of the lower back muscles should be strengthened, and lateral positioning should be adopted to reduce lumbar pressure.
It is recommended to maintain a moderate frequency of sexual activity and clean the perineum with warm water at around 40 ℃ afterwards. Daily practice of the Eight Section Brocade "Two Hands Support the Heavenly Principle and Three Jiao" movement can enhance lumbar muscle strength, and moxibustion at Guanyuan point three times a week can help improve pelvic blood circulation. If the pain recurs or is accompanied by symptoms such as fever and hematuria, immediate medical attention should be sought from the gynecology or urology department.
