The simplest way to make a cake

Making the simplest cake only requires basic materials and simple steps, without the need for complex tools. The main ingredients include low gluten flour, eggs, white sugar, milk, and vegetable oil, which can be mixed, stirred, and baked to complete the process.

1. Material Preparation

Low gluten flour is the key to making cakes soft, eggs provide a fluffy structure, white sugar adjusts sweetness, milk increases moisture, and vegetable oil replaces butter for easier handling. After preparing all the ingredients in proportion, there is no need to beat eggs or butter, just mix them directly.

2. Mixing Method

Mix the eggs with sugar until the sugar particles dissolve, add milk and vegetable oil, mix well, and finally sieve in the flour and stir in a zigzag pattern. To avoid excessive mixing causing gluten in the flour, the batter should be smooth and particle free. The entire process takes about 5 minutes to complete.

3. Container selection

Use heat-resistant glass bowls or ceramic mugs as molds, and apply thin oil on the inner wall to prevent sticking. Pour the batter into a container that is 70% full, microwave on high heat for 3 minutes, or preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Once the toothpick is inserted without any mucus, it will be fully cooked.

4. Taste Adjustment

Preferring a dense texture can reduce the amount of milk used, while liking a moist texture can increase the amount of milk by 10 milliliters. Sprinkle cocoa powder or drizzle honey on the surface to enhance flavor. After cooling, the edible tissue becomes firmer, and when enjoyed warm, it becomes softer.

5. Failure handling

Cake collapse may be caused by premature start-up or thin batter, and the center is not yet cooked, so the baking time needs to be extended. Surface cracking is a normal phenomenon. If the finished product is too dry, it can be covered with a damp cloth to soften and stored in refrigeration for no more than 2 days.

Simple cake is suitable for breakfast or tea. Sugar substitute formula can be used for patients with diabetes, and plant milk can be used for those who are lactose intolerant. Pay attention to the freshness of the ingredients during production, observe changes in the baking process, and strictly follow the proportion for the first attempt. After becoming proficient, you can adjust the ingredients to create new flavors. Pairing with fruits or nuts can increase nutrient density, but it is necessary to control the single consumption amount to avoid excessive calories.
