Is mental illness caused by stimulation

Mental illness is not necessarily caused by stimuli, but may be related to various factors such as genetic factors, abnormal brain structures, neurotransmitter imbalances, environmental stress, and major traumatic events. The etiology of mental illness is complex and usually the result of multiple factors working together. Genetic factors play an important role in the onset of mental illness, and individuals with a family history of mental illness have a higher probability of developing the disease. Abnormal brain structures such as impaired frontal or temporal lobe function may affect emotional regulation and cognitive function. Neurotransmitter imbalance, especially abnormal levels of dopamine and serotonin, is closely related to schizophrenia and depression. Environmental stress, such as long-term high-pressure work or tense interpersonal relationships, may trigger psychotic episodes. Major traumatic events include sudden impacts such as childhood abuse, violent injuries, or natural disasters, which can become triggers for mental illness. But not all individuals who are stimulated will develop mental illness, and there are differences in individual psychological resilience and coping strategies. The prevention of mental illness requires attention to mental health, establishing regular routines and moderate exercise habits. Maintaining social activities can help relieve stress, and professional psychological counseling can be sought when encountering psychological distress. Early identification of prodromal symptoms of mental illness such as sleep disturbances and emotional fluctuations is important, and after diagnosis, systematic treatment should be carried out according to medical advice. Family members should provide patients with full understanding and support, avoid discriminatory and exclusionary attitudes, and jointly create an environment conducive to rehabilitation.
