Sex education for boys in high school needs to be comprehensively carried out from five aspects: physiological knowledge, psychological guidance, sense of responsibility, safety protection, and value shaping.
1. Physiological knowledge
Systematically explains the structure of the male reproductive system, developmental characteristics during puberty, and common physiological phenomena. Covering normal physiological changes such as nocturnal emissions and erections, breaking the shame of sexual organs. Visual teaching can be conducted by combining human anatomy diagrams or medical models, emphasizing that these changes are signs of healthy growth.
2. Psychological guidance
focuses on the developmental characteristics of adolescent sexual psychology, helping students correctly understand psychological phenomena such as sexual impulses and fantasies. Through case analysis, discuss how to deal with sexual attraction and emotional arousal, distinguish between sexual impulses and genuine emotional needs, and establish a sense of respect for the opposite sex.
3. Sense of Responsibility
focuses on cultivating a sense of responsibility in sexual behavior, including knowledge of contraception, prevention of sexual diseases, and legal knowledge. Clearly inform minors of the legal boundaries of sexual activity, emphasize the principle of voluntariness and age restrictions, and demonstrate the profound impact of unintended pregnancy and sexual diseases on both parties through real events.
4. Safety Protection
teaches practical skills such as correct use of condoms and recognition of sexual assault signals for specific protective measures. Train the ability to resist negative temptations through scenario simulation, provide consultation channels for formal medical institutions, and eliminate obstacles to seeking help when encountering problems.
5. Value shaping
cultivates critical thinking by discussing sexual innuendos in the media. Guide students to reflect on the essence of healthy intimate relationships, establish sexual values centered on respect and equality, and understand that sexuality is not only a physiological behavior but also an emotional connection.
It is recommended to use interactive discussions instead of preaching during the implementation process, and choose authoritative textbooks or professional videos as teaching aids. Parents should maintain an open attitude and regularly communicate any confusion with their children. Schools can invite doctors or psychological counselors to conduct special lectures. Pay attention to differentiated teaching based on students' cognitive level, provide targeted guidance on real-life issues such as online pornography, strictly protect students' privacy, and create a safe and open communication environment. Educators themselves need to continuously learn scientific knowledge and avoid conveying erroneous ideas.
