How to store glutinous rice sausage for a long time

Glutinous rice sausage can be stored for an extended period of time through refrigeration or freezing. The specific storage method depends on the consumption plan, and short-term refrigeration or long-term freezing should be chosen. Glutinous rice sausage contains high moisture and starch, which can easily breed bacteria and cause spoilage at room temperature. When storing in refrigeration, glutinous rice sausage should be placed in a sealed container or tightly wrapped with plastic wrap to avoid mixing with other foods. The refrigeration temperature should be controlled at 0-4 degrees Celsius for 2-3 days. If longer storage is required, it is recommended to use freezing method. After removing the air in the bags, place them in a freezer below -18 degrees Celsius, which can be stored for 1-2 months. Before consumption, frozen glutinous rice sausage should be thoroughly heated, steamed or fried until the center temperature reaches 75 degrees Celsius or above, to avoid repeated thawing.

If any sticky surface, abnormal odor, or color change is found, it should be discarded immediately. Daily consumption recommendations include reasonable packaging according to the number of family members and reducing the frequency of thawing.
