How to remove the black dirt on the outside of the non stick pot bottom

The black scale on the bottom of non stick pans can be safely removed by methods such as baking soda paste, soaking in white vinegar, and citric acid solution. Black scale is mainly formed by the high-temperature carbonization of food residues or the oxidation and accumulation of oils and fats. Avoid using hard objects such as steel wire balls to scratch and prevent damage to the coating.

1. Baking Soda Paste

Mix baking soda and water into a paste and apply it to the black dirt on the bottom of the pot. Let it stand for 15 minutes and then wipe it with a soft cloth. Baking soda has weak alkalinity and can decompose carbonized organic matter, making it suitable for treating mild burnt paste. It is recommended to wear gloves during operation to avoid skin contact with alkaline substances. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with water.

2. Soaking in White Vinegar

Mix white vinegar with water in a 1:1 ratio and boil. After cooling, soak the pot for 30 minutes. Acetic acid can dissolve mineral deposits and oxide layers, and has a significant effect on the stubborn black scale formed by oil carbonization. Aluminum cookware should not be exposed to acidic substances for a long time, and should be cleaned again with neutral detergent after soaking.

3. Citric acid solution

Dissolve 5 grams of food grade citric acid in 200 milliliters of warm water, and use a sponge to dip and scrub the bottom of the pot. Citric acid has a chelating effect on metal oxides and can remove burnt sugar or sauce residue. This method is non corrosive to non stick coatings and needs to be wiped dry after cleaning to prevent residual water stains.

4. Special cleaning agent

Choose a non stick pan specific cleaning agent containing surfactants, and gently scrub with a nylon brush. This type of product has a neutral pH value, can emulsify oils and fats without damaging the PTFE material. When using, avoid the edge rubber ring of the cookware, clean it and air dry it in a ventilated place.

5. Toothpaste Grinding

Apply white toothpaste containing silica to the black dirt area and gently grind in circles for 2 minutes. The friction agent in toothpaste can physically remove the surface oxide layer and is suitable for local stubborn stains. After cleaning, it is necessary to check whether the coating is intact. If scratches appear, it should be stopped immediately.

When using non stick pans in daily life, it is recommended to control the heat to no more than medium heat and avoid burning empty or dry at high temperatures. After cooking, wait for the pot to cool down and then clean it with warm water. Stubborn stains can be lightly scraped with a wooden spatula while the remaining heat is still present. Keep the bottom of the pot dry and ventilated during storage, regularly check the integrity of the coating, and replace the pot with a new one if large areas of peeling are found to ensure food safety. Long term cleaning and maintenance can extend the service life of non stick pans and reduce the risk of harmful substance precipitation.
