After the rice stone sticks to the pot, it can be remedied by soaking and cleaning, dissolving in white vinegar, removing stains with baking soda, softening with citric acid, and treating with professional cleaning agents. The sticking of rice stone cookware is usually related to factors such as high temperature dry burning, oil film damage, and carbonization of food residue. Timely treatment can avoid coating damage.
1. Soak and clean
Immediately turn off the heat after sticking the pot, pour in warm water and soak for more than 10 minutes to soften the burnt material. Avoid using steel wire balls, gently scrape residues with a soft cloth or wooden shovel, and keep the water temperature below 60 degrees Celsius to prevent cracking of the pot due to excessive temperature differences. If there are still stubborn stains after soaking, repeat the operation 2-3 times.
2. Dissolve white vinegar
Mix white vinegar with water in a ratio of 1:2 and boil. Let it stand for 15 minutes to use acetic acid to decompose protein and mineral deposits. Suitable for sticking starch or egg and dairy products to pots, keep ventilation when boiling, vinegar solution can be reused twice. Rinse with clean water until there is no sour taste after treatment.
3. Use baking soda to remove stains
Sprinkle baking soda powder to cover the burnt area, add a small amount of water to make a paste, let it stand for 20 minutes, and then wipe it with a sponge. Alkaline environment can decompose oil and sugar carbides, and is non corrosive to the coating of vermiculite. Stubborn stains can be gently brushed with a toothbrush, and after treatment, they should be thoroughly rinsed to avoid alkali residue.
4. Citric Acid Softening
Soaking in citric acid solution has a significant effect on scale sticking pans. Add 15 grams of food grade citric acid per liter of water, heat to 50 degrees Celsius, and then turn off the heat and soak for 30 minutes. Calcium and magnesium ion deposits will gradually dissolve, making it suitable for long-term use in hard water areas. Monthly use can prevent sticking to the pot.
5. Professional Cleaning Agent
Choose a special cleaning agent for vermiculite containing diatomaceous earth or alumina particles, apply it and let it sit for 5 minutes, then use a nano sponge to wipe along the texture direction. Avoid cleaning agents containing chlorine or strong acid components. After use, use edible oil to re nourish the pot surface and restore its anti sticking performance.
When using rice stone cookware in daily life, it is recommended to cook over low heat in a cold pot with cold oil to avoid burning it empty for more than 3 minutes. After each use, wait for the pot to cool down and then clean it with warm water. Regularly applying edible oil for maintenance can extend the life of the anti sticking layer. If the coating peeling off or obvious scratches accompany sticking to the pot, the pot should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent exposure of the aluminum substrate. Before cooking, ensure that the ingredients are thawed and the moisture is controlled. When frying starchy foods, increase the amount of oil appropriately. These measures can effectively prevent the recurrence of sticking problems.
