How to remedy peanuts that are not crispy when fried

Peanuts that are not crispy can be remedied by reheating, oven drying, or microwave heating. Unfastened peanuts may be affected by insufficient oil temperature, short cooking time, or high moisture content. Adjusting the method can improve the taste.

Re frying is the most direct method. Put the uncut peanuts back into hot oil at 160-180 degrees Celsius and fry over low heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute. It should be noted that the oil temperature should not be too high to avoid external coking and internal growth. Before frying again, use kitchen paper to absorb the surface oil of peanuts to prevent excessive oil absorption during secondary frying. When the peanut color turns light golden and makes a crisp collision sound, immediately remove it, spread it out and let it cool, then seal and store it.

Oven drying is suitable for situations where you do not want to fry again. Spread the peanuts flat on a baking tray, preheat at 150 degrees, and bake for 5-8 minutes. During this period, it is necessary to flip it 1-2 times to ensure even heating and use hot air circulation to remove moisture. This method can maintain the original flavor of peanuts, but close observation is needed to avoid burning. Heating at high heat for 1 minute in a microwave oven can also quickly dehydrate, but after each heating, it is necessary to flip and check the condition, and repeat the process in stages until the desired brittleness is achieved.

It is recommended to consume the remediated peanuts as soon as possible to avoid moisture affecting their taste. When frying peanuts in daily life, you can soak them in water for 10 minutes and drain them, or bake them at low temperature to remove excess moisture before frying. Control the oil temperature at around 170 degrees Celsius, fry for 2-3 minutes before removing, and wait for the oil temperature to rise before frying again for 1 minute for greater success. When storing, put it in a sealed jar and add food desiccant to extend the crispy time. If peanuts have a rancid or moldy taste, they are not edible and need to be remade.
