How to clean pig stomach quickly and thoroughly

The key to quickly washing pork belly lies in pre-treatment and step-by-step cleaning, mainly including hot water washing, flour scrubbing, soaking in white vinegar, salt rubbing, baking soda cleaning, and other methods.

1. Hot water hot washing

Fresh pork belly: First, rinse the surface mucus with running water, turn the inner layer of the pork belly upside down, and then heat it in boiling water for about 10 seconds. High temperature can cause the surface mucosa to shrink and fall off. Immediately scrape off the yellow white film with a knife after ironing, which can remove most of the fishy substances. Note that the water temperature should not be too high to avoid scalding the meat and affecting its taste.

2. Flour Rubbing

Sprinkle dry flour on the scalded pork belly and rub it repeatedly. The adsorption force of the flour particles can take away oil and impurities. Focus on scrubbing the wrinkled areas, let it stand for 5 minutes, and then rinse with running water. This method has a significant effect on removing mucus, and it is even more effective when combined with a small amount of cooking oil for scrubbing, but it is necessary to ensure thorough rinsing at the end.

3. Soak pig stomach in white vinegar

Soak pig stomach in white vinegar and water in a ratio of 1:3 for 15 minutes. Acetic acid can decompose residual alkaline secretions. When soaking, heavy objects can be used to press down to ensure complete immersion, and after that, use a hard bristled brush to gently brush the gaps. This step is particularly suitable for handling pig bellies with strong odors, but it is recommended for gastric ulcer patients to wear gloves when in contact with vinegar.

4. Rubbing Salt

The physical friction of coarse salt particles can deeply clean wrinkles. Spread salt evenly inside and outside the pig's stomach and rub for 5 minutes like washing clothes. Salt can also penetrate and kill bacteria, and has an inhibitory effect on possible parasitic eggs. After completion, rinse with plenty of water to avoid salt residue. This method should be used with caution for individuals with renal insufficiency.

5. Baking soda cleaning

Finally, soak in a baking soda solution for 10 minutes. An alkaline environment can neutralize residual stomach acid. Add 5 grams of baking soda to 500 milliliters of water. After soaking, it is easier to scrub with loofah flesh. This method can make the pork belly appear naturally powdery white, but it should be noted that prolonged contact with baking soda can soften the meat. The processed pork belly should be refrigerated and consumed within 24 hours. Before cooking, ginger slices and cooking wine can be blanched to remove the fishy smell. Suggest stewing with pepper and yam as warm and nourishing ingredients. For those with weak gastrointestinal function, control the amount consumed. Regular consumption of pork belly can help supplement the collagen needed for gastric mucosal repair, but patients with hyperuricemia need to limit their intake frequency. During the cleaning process, it is necessary to separate the raw and cooked to avoid cross contamination.
