Fresh blueberries can usually be stored for 3-7 days under refrigerator refrigeration conditions. The preservation time of blueberries is closely related to factors such as storage method, maturity, and skin integrity. Fresh blueberries belong to the berry fruit category, with a thin and tender skin and high moisture content, which can easily rot due to compression or moisture. When purchasing, choose blueberries with full fruit, uniform color, and no damage, and those with natural white frost on the surface are fresher. Before storage, there is no need to clean it. Simply put it in a breathable food box or a container lined with kitchen paper, and place it in the fruit and vegetable drawer of the refrigerator. If individual moldy fruits are found, they should be picked out immediately to avoid contaminating other fruits. If not consumed for a short period of time, it can be frozen and stored, but the taste will become soft after thawing. If blueberries are fully ripe or stored in a high temperature environment, they may become soft, juiced, or moldy within 2-3 days. Blueberries that have been bumped during transportation, even if there is no obvious damage to their appearance, may have damaged their internal cellular structure and accelerate decay. During high temperatures in summer, unrefrigerated blueberries may spoil within 1-2 days. Some pre packaged blueberries in supermarkets may have a slightly longer shelf life than bulk products due to air conditioning treatment.

It is recommended to purchase fresh blueberries as needed each time to avoid long-term storage. Gently rinse with running water before consumption to remove surface residue. When pairing with yogurt, oats, and other foods, washing and eating them fresh can maximize the retention of nutrients. If blueberries are found to be sticky, have a smell of alcohol, or have obvious discoloration, they should be discarded immediately. Observe the signs of deterioration such as darkening of blueberry stems and fruit shrinkage in daily life, and plan the order of consumption reasonably.
