Sweating during dancing usually helps with weight loss, but there is no direct correlation between the amount of sweat and the effectiveness of weight loss. The weight loss effect mainly depends on the intensity, duration, and energy expenditure of exercise. Dancing as an aerobic exercise can increase heart rate and promote fat metabolism. Moderate intensity dance can burn 200-400 calories per hour, equivalent to the energy consumption of jogging or cycling.
