4 ways to open the lid of canned peaches

There are four main methods for opening the lid of canned peaches: hot water soaking method, rubber band assisted method, tool prying method, and professional can opener method.

1. Hot water soaking method

Invert the can and soak it in hot water at about 80 ℃ for 5 minutes, using the principle of thermal expansion and contraction to create a gap between the metal lid and the glass bottle mouth. Note that the water level should be lower than the height of the bottle cap to avoid water ingress. After soaking, dry the bottle body and wrap the bottle cap counterclockwise with a dry towel. This method is suitable for use in households without tools, but attention should be paid to preventing burns.

2. Rubber Band Assistance Method

Take 3-4 rubber bands and tightly wrap them around the edge of the bottle cap to increase friction. Fix the bottle body with your left hand and rotate it counterclockwise with your right hand. The elastic material of rubber bands can effectively improve hand slip problems, especially suitable for people with less strength. It is recommended to place the can on a non slip pad during operation. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, it can be repeated.

3. Tool prying method

Use a stainless steel spoon or butter knife tip to insert into the groove of the bottle cap, gently pry up to allow air to enter and break the vacuum state. It is necessary to evenly pry 3-4 points along the edge of the bottle cap, and easily unscrew it after hearing the sound of air leakage. Pay attention to maintaining a 45 degree angle between the cutting tool and the bottle mouth to avoid excessive force that may cause glass damage or tool slippage and injury.

4. Professional can opener method

uses a commercially available can opener, aligning the bayonet with the edge of the bottle cap and pressing the handle downwards, and uniformly applying force to rotate through a gear mechanical structure. This tool can disperse the opening pressure and is suitable for arthritis patients or tightly sealed cans. After use, it is necessary to clean the serrated part of the can opener in a timely manner to prevent the growth of bacteria from food residues.

It is recommended to consume canned peaches as soon as possible after opening, and those that have not been consumed should be transferred to a glass sealed box for refrigeration storage. Repeated opening and closing of metal bottle caps can cause deformation and decrease in sealing performance, and it is not recommended to store them in their original packaging. Before consumption, pay attention to checking whether the can is swollen, leaking or has abnormal contents. If any odor, discoloration or other deterioration is found, it should be discarded immediately. During daily storage, it should be placed in a cool and dry place to avoid direct sunlight that can accelerate corrosion of the metal can lid. For children or elderly people, it is recommended to cut the yellow peach into small pieces in advance to prevent the risk of choking caused by excessive flesh.
