Who can't drink yellow rice wine and Baijiu

Patients with Yin deficiency constitution, damp heat constitution, liver disease, gastrointestinal diseases, and pregnant women should not drink Huangjiu. Drinking too much Baijiu can be alleviated by drinking honey water, supplementing vitamin B group, eating digestible food, moderate exercise and medical treatment.

1. People who cannot drink yellow wine

People with Yin deficiency constitution have insufficient Yin fluid in their bodies. Yellow wine is warm in nature and can help burn yin, which may worsen symptoms such as dry mouth and throat, hot flashes, and night sweats. People with damp heat constitution have dysfunction of spleen and stomach function. Drinking yellow wine can promote damp heat, leading to symptoms such as yellow and greasy tongue coating and short and red urine. Chronic liver disease patients have decreased liver metabolic capacity, and the alcohol in Huangjiu can increase the burden on the liver, which may induce liver pain or abnormal liver function. Patients with gastritis and gastric ulcers have damaged gastrointestinal mucosa, and yellow wine stimulates gastric acid secretion, which can easily cause discomfort such as stomach pain and acid reflux. Pregnant women drinking Huangjiu may affect the development of the fetal nervous system, increase the risk of premature birth or fetal malformation.

II. Measures to deal with excessive Baijiu

Drinking honey water can promote the decomposition of alcohol. Among them, fructose can accelerate the metabolism of acetaldehyde, and alleviate hangover symptoms such as headache and nausea. Vitamin B tablets can supplement the nutrients consumed by alcohol metabolism and improve fatigue caused by neurological disorders. Digestible foods such as rice porridge and noodles can protect the gastric mucosa and reduce the continuous irritation of alcohol to the gastrointestinal tract. Light exercise such as walking can promote blood circulation, but vigorous exercise should be avoided to increase the burden on the heart. If severe symptoms such as blurred consciousness and bloody vomit occur, immediate medical attention should be sought for gastric lavage or intravenous infusion treatment. After drinking alcohol, one should rest in a supine position with the head tilted to one side to prevent vomiting and suffocation. The next day's diet should be light. You can eat pumpkin Congee, yam soup and other food to strengthen the spleen and stomach. Avoid fried, spicy and other stimulating food. Long term drinkers are advised to regularly check liver function, gastroscopy, and other items, and intervene promptly if any abnormalities are detected. Traditional Chinese medicine can use Ge Hua Jie Cheng Tang with modifications, or press the Neiguan and Zusanli acupoints to help relieve hangover. Daily alcohol consumption should be controlled, with a daily alcohol intake of no more than 25 grams for males and 15 grams for females, and there should be 2-3 days of liver rest per week without drinking alcohol.
