What water is good for the body to drink in the morning

Drinking warm water on an empty stomach in the morning is good for the body, as it can replenish water lost at night and promote metabolism. The main types suitable for drinking in the morning include warm water, diluted honey water, lemon water, ginger water, diluted salt water, etc.

1. Warm boiled water

After one night of metabolism, the human body is in a mild dehydration state. Warm boiled water at 35-40 ℃ can be quickly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, helping to dilute blood viscosity and stimulate gastrointestinal motility. It is not recommended to drink hot water above 50 ℃, as it may damage the esophageal mucosa. Individuals with renal dysfunction should control their water intake to within 200 milliliters per session.

2. Light honey water

contains fructose and glucose, which can quickly provide energy and is suitable for people with low blood sugar. Enzymes in honey are helpful to digestion, but diabetes patients should avoid them. When brewing, the water temperature should not exceed 60 ℃ to avoid damaging the active ingredients. It is recommended to mix 10 grams of honey with 200 milliliters of warm water and rinse your mouth after drinking to prevent dental caries.

3. Lemon water

Vitamin C and citric acid can promote liver detoxification, suitable for those with insufficient gastric acid secretion. Fresh lemon slices soaked in water are better than dry slices, and the soaking time should not exceed 2 hours. Patients with gastric ulcers are prohibited from using it. For healthy individuals, it is recommended to mix half a lemon juice with 500ml of water to avoid drinking on an empty stomach at a high concentration that can irritate the gastric mucosa.

4. Ginger water

Ginger capsaicin can promote blood circulation and is suitable for people with cold constitution. Boil 3-5 pieces of fresh ginger and soak for 10 minutes. Red dates can be added to adjust the taste. People with yin deficiency and excessive fire should use it with caution. If they experience dry mouth and tongue after drinking, they should stop using it. Taking it in the morning of winter has a better effect and can enhance cold resistance.

5. Dilute saline

0.9% physiological concentration saline can supplement electrolytes and is suitable for people who sweat heavily. Add 1 gram of salt to every 500 milliliters of water, as excessive intake may increase the burden on the kidneys. Patients with hypertension are prohibited from using it, and healthy individuals should consume it continuously for no more than 3 days. Drinking before summer exercise has a better effect on preventing electrolyte imbalance.

It is recommended to drink 200-300 milliliters of water in the morning, taking small sips slowly to avoid increasing the burden on the heart. Long term persistence can improve constipation, regulate blood pressure, and enhance cognitive function. Patients with special constitutions or diseases need to adjust their drinking water plan under the guidance of a doctor. For example, kidney disease patients need to limit their water intake, and those with gastroesophageal reflux should avoid drinking a large amount of water. Paired with a balanced breakfast has a better effect, avoiding drinking ice water that can stimulate blood vessel constriction.
