What is the best water to drink in the morning when your stomach is not good

For people with poor stomach, it is recommended to drink warm water or light honey water in the morning. Ginger water, mountain water, low concentration diluted salt water, and other beverages can be used. These choices help protect the gastric mucosa, promote the secretion of digestive juices, and avoid stimulating the gastrointestinal tract.

1. Warm boiled water

Warm boiled water at around 40 ℃ can dilute concentrated stomach acid at night and alleviate morning acid reflux symptoms. Drinking on an empty stomach can gently awaken gastrointestinal motility and promote the elimination of metabolic waste. Be careful to avoid ice water or hot water, as sudden temperature changes may cause stomach spasms.

2. Light Honey Water

Honey water with a concentration of 5% contains fructose and various enzymes, which can form a protective layer for the gastric mucosa. It is suggested to select the isothermal honey of jujube flower honey, and patients with diabetes should use it with caution. When brewing, the water temperature should not exceed 60 ℃ to avoid damaging the active ingredients.

3. Ginger Water

Two pieces of fresh ginger are soaked in 300ml of hot water for 10 minutes to make ginger extract, which can promote blood circulation in the stomach. Suitable for stomach cold type discomfort, but contraindicated in the acute phase of gastric ulcer. Can be paired with a small amount of brown sugar to enhance the warming effect on the stomach.

4. Shan Yao Shui

The mucus filtered out after boiling dried yam slices contains yam polysaccharides, which have the effect of repairing gastric mucosa. Suitable for patients with chronic gastritis, it should be consumed continuously for more than 2 weeks. Fresh yam juice should be heated before consumption to avoid irritation from starch particles.

5. Low concentration diluted saline

0.3% physiological saline can supplement electrolytes lost at night and regulate the acidity of gastric acid. Hypertensive patients should control their sodium intake, not exceeding 200 milliliters per session. Avoid using iodized salt to prevent abnormal secretion of thyroid hormone. Patients with stomach diseases should control the total amount of water they drink in the morning at 200-300 milliliters, taking small sips slowly to avoid stomach bloating. People with long-term stomach discomfort should be screened for Helicobacter pylori infection and avoid drinking stimulating drinks such as lemon water and strong tea on an empty stomach. Daily diet can increase digestible foods such as millet porridge and pumpkin soup, and cooperate with abdominal massage to promote gastrointestinal peristalsis. If symptoms such as persistent stomach pain and black stool occur, timely gastroscopy examination should be performed.
