The fastest way to remove tea stains from the filter is to soak it in white vinegar or baking soda solution and scrub it. Tea stains are mainly formed by the deposition of tea polyphenols, minerals, and other substances. Stubborn stains can be dissolved in citric acid to avoid scratching with hard objects such as steel wire balls. Soak the filter in a heated white vinegar solution. Acetic acid can quickly decompose calcium and magnesium deposits in tea leaves. After 10-15 minutes, gently brush with a soft bristled brush to remove them. It is recommended to choose a food grade 5% acetic acid solution for the concentration of white vinegar. High temperature can improve reaction efficiency, but plastic filters need to control the water temperature to avoid deformation. If there are still residues after soaking the metal filter, it can be wiped locally with baking soda paste. The micro abrasion of sodium bicarbonate can remove the oxide layer. The acidic solution formed by mixing citric acid powder with water has a significant effect on stubborn tea stains, especially suitable for stainless steel filters. Soak the filter in citric acid solution at around 60 ℃ for 20 minutes, and the tea polyphenol complex will gradually dissolve. This method is also applicable to glazed ceramic filters, but attention should be paid to the possibility of acidic substances damaging the coating. After treatment, it is necessary to thoroughly rinse with clean water. If there is a silicone sealing ring on the filter screen, the contact time should be shortened to prevent aging.

Rinsing the filter screen in a timely manner after daily use can prevent the accumulation of tea stains, and rubbing the gaps of the filter screen with salt every week can delay sedimentation. Avoid using bleach or strong alkaline cleaners, as these substances may corrode metals and leave harmful residues. For structurally complex filters, ultrasonic cleaners can remove dead corner stains through cavitation, but the material's tolerance needs to be confirmed. If the tea stains have already formed and turned black, it is recommended to replace the filter screen with a new one to ensure safe drinking water.
