The difference between m22 photon rejuvenation and superphoton

M22 photon rejuvenation and superphoton are both skin beauty projects based on strong pulsed light technology, but superphoton is an upgraded version of M22, with main differences in wavelength range, treatment accuracy, and indication coverage. M22 photon rejuvenation uses traditional IPL technology with a narrow wavelength range, suitable for improving dull skin tone, superficial pigmentation, and mild vascular problems; Superphotons are equipped with AOPT technology, which has a wider wavelength and can be adjusted in segments, allowing for more precise treatment of deep pigmentation, stubborn red blood streaks, and acne, while also providing lower pain and shorter recovery periods.

1. Wavelength Technology

M22 Photon Rejuvenation uses standard IPL intense pulsed light with a wavelength range of 515-1200 nanometers, which has a relatively uniform energy distribution and is suitable for basic skin brightening and shallow pigment treatment. Superphotons use AOPT optimized pulse technology with segmented wavelength selection, such as 530-650 nanometers for melanin and 900-1200 nanometers for deep blood vessels, to achieve layered treatment and have a more significant effect on mixed skin problems.

2. Treatment Accuracy

Superphotonic technology with multi sub pulse technology and dynamic cooling system provides more stable energy output. Parameters can be adjusted for different skin layers to reduce thermal damage to surrounding tissues. Although M22 has basic filter switching function, its parameter adjustment flexibility is relatively low, which may result in uneven energy during treatment.

3. Indications

M22 is suitable for fading sunspots, shrinking pores, and improving mild rosacea. The wavelength of the ultrasound can be adjusted, and it can effectively treat stubborn problems such as melasma and red wine stains. It also adds an acne anti-inflammatory mode, which has a better inhibitory effect on inflammatory acne.

4. Comfort difference

The pulse delay technology of superphotons can reduce the energy peak, and with the contact cooling head, the pain is significantly reduced compared to M22. During M22 treatment, there may be a brief burning sensation, and sensitive muscles need to be treated with anesthesia in advance to alleviate discomfort.

5. Treatment cycle

Both require multiple treatments, but superphotons have higher energy efficiency and usually show significant effects 3-5 times. The interval period can be shortened to 2 weeks. M22 requires 5-8 sessions, with an interval of 3-4 weeks between each session, and the duration is about 6 months. The superphotonic effect can last for 8-12 months.

The selection should be based on the type of skin problem and tolerance. Superphotons are suitable for people who pursue efficiency and have sufficient budget, especially those who are more friendly to mixed pigmentation or sensitive skin; M22 offers higher cost-effectiveness and is suitable for basic maintenance needs. After treatment, strict sunscreen is required to avoid the use of irritating skin care products. It is recommended to combine medical repair facial mask to speed up the recovery of the barrier, avoid high temperature environment and strenuous exercise within one week after surgery, and reduce the intake of photosensitive food in diet to reduce the risk of anti blackening.
