Soybean milk can neither directly replenish or deflate. It is mild in nature and suitable for most people's daily drinking. Soybean milk contains high-quality protein, soybean isoflavones, calcium, B vitamins and other nutrients, which mainly play a role in supplementing nutrition and regulating metabolism.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, soybean milk is sweet and flat in nature, and it is believed to have the effect of invigorating the spleen and removing dampness by returning to the spleen, stomach and large intestine meridians. For people with weak spleen and stomach, moderate consumption of warm soybean milk can help improve digestion and absorption function, and indirectly play a tonic role. The plant protein and dietary fiber in soybean milk can provide a sense of satiety, maintain stable blood sugar, and is suitable for people with qi deficiency and fatigue as a nutritional supplement. However, soybean milk does not contain Chinese herbal ingredients that can directly replenish qi, and cannot replace the effects of astragalus, ginseng and other herbs that can replenish qi.

The argument that soybean milk may be discouraged is mainly related to two factors. One reason is that soybeans contain oligosaccharides and other components, and the fermentation of gut microbiota may produce gas, which may cause bloating in sensitive individuals after consumption. Secondly, in traditional Chinese medicine theory, excessive consumption of legumes may affect the stomach, but it does not lead to significant qi deficiency when consumed in regular amounts. For those with weak gastrointestinal function, the boiling time of soybean milk can be extended to more than 10 minutes, or they can be eaten together with ginger and yam isothermal ingredients.

It is recommended to choose pure soybean milk instead of concocted drinks. It is better to drink about 300ml of soybean milk every day. Gout patients need to control their intake of soy products, and thyroid disease patients should consult a doctor before drinking. Self made soybean milk must be fully boiled to avoid discomfort caused by saponins and other substances. The nutritional value of soybean milk can be better played by properly matching whole grains, nuts and other foods.
