Simple facial massage techniques and steps

Simple facial massage techniques mainly include lifting the forehead, pressing around the eyes, massaging the cheeks, gently pinching the chin, and patting the entire face. These techniques can promote blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, and can be better used with essential oil or face cream.

1. Lift the forehead

Use both index and middle fingers to alternately lift from the brow center towards the hairline, repeating 5-8 times. This technique can relieve fine lines on the forehead and improve muscle tension caused by frowning. During operation, the force should be gentle to avoid excessive pulling on the skin. Combined with skincare oils containing vitamin E, it can enhance the nourishing effect.

2. Press around the eyes

Use the ring finger to press from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner of the eye, and massage in circles along the orbital bone. Focus on pressing on the bamboo acupoint, temple, and other areas, and hold each acupoint for 3 seconds. This technique helps to eliminate eye swelling and relieve eye fatigue. Be careful to avoid the eyes. For dry skin, it is recommended to apply eye cream first before handling.

3. Rub the cheeks

Press the palms of both hands tightly against the cheeks, and spiral the massage from both sides of the nose towards the front of the ear. It can be pressed together with acupoints such as Sibai and Jiache, and pushed and kneaded 10-15 times each time. This action can promote facial lymphatic circulation and improve skin laxity. It is recommended to massage oily skin with refreshing lotion after cleaning.

4. Gently pinch the chin

Use the thumb and index finger to gently pinch the contour line of the chin, and lift it in sections from the center towards the earlobe direction. Repeat 8-10 times on each side, with a slight sense of sourness and swelling. This technique can stimulate the tightening of the jawline and prevent the formation of double chin. Sensitive muscles should reduce the frequency of operation, 2-3 times a week is sufficient.

5. Patting the entire face

Finally, gently pat the entire face with fingertips, focusing on strengthening the apple muscles and nasolabial folds. The tapping frequency is about 2-3 times per second, lasting for 1 minute. This vibrating massage can awaken skin vitality and promote the absorption of skincare products. Morning exercises can help eliminate edema, while night exercises can be paired with night cream.

It is recommended to massage the face for 5-10 minutes after cleansing in the morning and evening every day. Thoroughly clean your hands before massage, and those with long nails should trim them flat. Dry skin can choose rosehip oil as a massage medium, while oily skin should use gel like products. After massage, a warm towel can be applied to the face for 1 minute to help absorb. If sensitive muscles turn red, the operation should be paused. Adhering to regular massage can improve facial complexion, but attention should be paid to gentle techniques to avoid excessive pulling and sagging of the skin.
