Purslane applied three times and the hemorrhoids healed

Applying purslane externally may help alleviate symptoms of hemorrhoids, but it cannot be guaranteed that it will heal after three uses. Hemorrhoids are usually caused by factors such as prolonged sitting, constipation, pregnancy, etc., manifested as symptoms such as anal swelling and pain, bleeding, etc. In severe cases, surgical treatment is required.

Purslane has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, cooling blood and stopping bleeding. Its fresh product can be mashed and applied externally to relieve congestion, swelling and pain of hemorrhoids. After washing and crushing fresh purslane, apply it to the affected area. Its mucous components can form a protective film, reducing friction and irritation. External application of purslane during hemorrhoid attacks can temporarily alleviate symptoms, but it requires comprehensive care such as sitz baths and adjusting bowel habits. Pregnant women and individuals with allergies should use with caution. If external application causes skin itching, it should be stopped immediately.

If hemorrhoids recur or there is excessive bleeding, the effect of applying purslane externally is limited. Thrombotic external hemorrhoids or prolapsed hemorrhoids require timely medical attention, and may require treatment such as hemorrhoid ligation or stapled mucosal excision. When accompanied by complications such as anal fissures and fistulas, single herbal external application is difficult to cure. Patients with hemorrhoids should maintain anal hygiene, take warm sitz baths daily, increase dietary fiber intake to avoid constipation. Avoid prolonged sitting and standing, and engage in moderate exercise to promote blood circulation. When symptoms persist or worsen, it is necessary to seek medical attention at the proctology department and use hemorrhoid suppositories, hemorrhoid creams, and other medications under the guidance of a doctor. In severe cases, surgical treatment may be considered.
