How to wash clothes stained with jackfruit

Clothes stained with jackfruit juice can be washed with water, scrubbed with detergent, soaked in white vinegar, smeared with baking soda, and wiped with alcohol. Pineapple honey juice is high in sugar and viscous. It needs to be cleaned in time to avoid oxidation and yellowing.

1. Rinse with water

Immediately rinse the back of the clothing with a large amount of cold water when it is first stained with juice, and wash away any residual pectin on the surface with water flow. Cold water can prevent sugar from solidifying due to heat, and avoid rubbing vigorously to prevent fiber penetration and dyeing. Delicate fabrics such as silk or wool should be washed flat to prevent deformation.

2. Scrubbing with detergent

Apply neutral detergent directly to the stain and let it sit for five minutes. The surfactants in the detergent can decompose oil and sugar. Use a soft bristled brush to gently brush along the fabric pattern, and avoid excessive friction that may cause fading on dark colored clothing. Cotton, linen and other washable fabrics can be combined with warm water to enhance the cleaning effect.

3. Soak in white vinegar

Mix white vinegar with water in a ratio of 1:2 and soak the clothes for half an hour. Acetic acid can soften dried sugar stains, especially effective for cotton clothing. After soaking, rinse thoroughly with clean water to avoid residual acetic acid damaging the fibers. This method is not suitable for protein fiber fabrics such as silk and spandex.

4. Baking soda paste

Mix baking soda with a small amount of water to form a paste and apply it thick on the stain. The weak alkalinity of baking soda can neutralize the acidity of fruit juice. After standing for an hour, gently brush with a toothbrush, which is suitable for treating old stains. After cleaning, check the pH value of the clothes and neutralize them with citric acid water if necessary.

5. Alcohol wiping

Use a 75% medical alcohol cotton ball to apply pressure from the outer edge of the stain to the inside for wiping. Alcohol can dissolve resin substances. During operation, it is necessary to maintain ventilation and keep away from sources of fire. Chemical fiber fabrics should be tested for fading in inconspicuous places first. Immediately wash regularly after processing to remove alcohol odor.

Processed clothing should be protected from direct sunlight and dried in a cool and ventilated place to prevent pigment deposition. Stubborn stains can be removed by repeating the above method. If they still cannot be removed, it is recommended to send them to a professional laundry shop. When you eat jackfruit daily, you can wear an apron or dark clothes. The best treatment effect is within six hours after being contaminated with juice. For valuable clothing such as silk and cashmere, it is recommended to consult professional caregivers directly.
