How to use mineral water bottles to drain water?

Mineral water bottles can be temporarily used to clear slightly clogged sewers, but are only suitable for soft blockages such as hair and paper scraps. If there is a hard blockage or severe siltation in the pipeline, professional tools or contact maintenance personnel should be used for handling.

Cut off the bottom of the mineral water bottle, keep the spiral part of the bottle mouth, and tighten the bottle cap. Aim at the blocked drainage outlet and squeeze the bottle body forcefully, using air pressure to loosen the blockage. Repeat the operation several times and then rinse the water to observe the effect. During operation, it is necessary to ensure that the bottle mouth is tightly sealed with the pipeline to avoid splashing of sewage. This method is effective for shallow drainage outlets such as sinks and bathtubs. When there is oil sludge condensation, tree root invasion, or hard objects such as toys stuck in the pipeline, the mineral water bottle cannot generate sufficient dredging pressure. Long term use of old pipelines with a large amount of dirt adhering to their inner walls may exacerbate pipeline damage through simple air pressure dredging. There is a pressure balancing device in the drainage pipes of high-rise buildings, and self dredging may lead to sewage backflow.

Pipes should be regularly flushed with hot water to prevent oil accumulation and avoid pouring kitchen waste into the sewer. When repeated blockages occur, pipeline dredging agents can be used to soften sediment, but the frequency of use must be controlled according to the instructions. If there is backflow, persistent odor, or multiple drainage outlets are blocked at the same time, it is recommended to contact professional pipeline maintenance personnel for inspection and handling.
