How to use baking soda multi-purpose cleaner

Baking soda multi-purpose cleaner can be used for various household cleaning scenarios such as kitchen oil stains, bathroom scale, clothing stain removal, carpet deodorization, etc. When using, the concentration and method should be adjusted according to different cleaning needs, mainly including wiping after dissolution, direct spreading, mixing with other natural materials, etc.

1. Kitchen oil stains

Baking soda has a significant effect on decomposing oil. When dealing with stubborn oil stains on the stove, you can mix baking soda and warm water in a ratio of 1:2 to make a paste, dip it in a soft cloth, wipe it, let it stand for a few minutes, and then rinse it off. For the range hood filter, it can be soaked in hot water and then sprayed with baking soda for painting and washing, which can prevent steel wire balls from scratching the surface. The burnt residue on the inner wall of the oven can be mixed with baking soda and water to form a thick coating, which can be easily removed after overnight application.

2. Bathroom cleaning

The scale on the faucet can be directly polished with a wet sponge dipped in baking soda dry powder. The micro particles of baking soda can physically peel off the calcified layer. It is recommended to use baking soda paste combined with an old toothbrush to clean the mold spots on the tile gaps, which is safer than bleach. The yellowed area of the bathtub can be sprinkled with baking soda and sprayed with white vinegar to generate bubbles. After the reaction, scrub and finally use a lemon slice to wipe and brighten.

3. Clothing Care

When cleaning the inner drum of a washing machine, pour in 200 grams of baking soda and run the high-temperature program to decompose residual detergent and mold. Sweat stains on the collar can be pre coated and rubbed with baking soda paste, and then machine washed normally. The problem of yellowing of white fabric is recommended to soak it in baking soda water for two hours, as its weak alkalinity can neutralize acidic substances in sweat. Sports shoes can be deodorized by directly sprinkling powder and letting it sit overnight, which has a significant effect on adsorbing odor molecules.

4. Carpet deodorization

First absorb the liquid from pet urine stains and cover them with baking soda for more than 12 hours. Its porous structure can adsorb ammonia compounds. Dripping beverage stains should be immediately powdered to prevent penetration, and vacuum removed after the powder has hardened. The whole carpet cleaning can be achieved by mixing baking soda and corn starch in a 1:1 ratio and spreading them evenly. After standing still, thoroughly vacuuming can effectively neutralize the smell of oil fumes and dampness.

5. Other applications

The cutting board can be disinfected by rubbing the surface with baking soda and salt, and then rinsing. Drain pipe maintenance: Pour half a cup of baking soda and hot water every month to prevent grease accumulation. Plastic meal boxes have stubborn pigment precipitation, soaking them in baking soda paste can restore their original color. Silver is oxidized and blackened, and aluminum foil soaked in hot water with baking soda can be removed by ion exchange reaction.

When using baking soda for cleaning, attention should be paid to testing the material's tolerance, and alkaline sensitive surfaces such as marble should be diluted for use. Storage should be kept dry, and even after clumping, it can still be used normally. For severe stains, the concentration can be appropriately increased, but avoid direct mixing with chlorine bleach. Regular use of baking soda for cleaning can reduce the amount of chemical cleaning agents used. It is recommended to use natural materials such as white vinegar and citric acid to enhance the effect. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly to avoid residue.
