How to remove the sticky pulp of jackfruit

The sticky pulp of jackfruit can be removed by cooking oil, detergent, flour, etc. The white mucus of jackfruit contains a lot of resin and gum, which will become oxidized and sticky after contacting with air. Timely treatment can avoid skin irritation.

1. Edible Oil

Apply a small amount of edible oil to the adhesive area, gently rub to mix the mucus and oil thoroughly. Edible oil can dissolve and destroy the resin structure. After the mucus turns milky white, use a tissue to wipe off residual oil, and then rinse with warm water. This method is gentle on the skin and suitable for sensitive individuals.

2. Detergent

Apply a proper amount of detergent directly on the sticky part, and rub it with warm water to produce foam. Surfactant in detergent can decompose gum, and mucus will fall off with foam when washing. If the adhesive area is large, soak your hands in diluted detergent water for 5 minutes before cleaning.

3. Flour

Cover the mucous area with dry flour and remove the gum through powder adsorption. After standing still for 2 minutes, rub your hands until the flour particles combine with the mucus to form a lump, and finally rinse with running water. This method is suitable for handling initially uncured mucus, and dust inhalation should be avoided during operation.

4. Salt

Take a spoonful of salt and add a small amount of water to make a paste, and rub it in circles on the adhered skin. The physical friction of salt particles can peel off the gum and also has a sterilizing effect. After processing, apply hand cream to prevent the skin from drying out due to excessive friction. 5. Vinegar or lemon juice. Acidic substances can neutralize the alkaline components of mucus. Soak white vinegar or fresh lemon juice in a cotton pad and apply it to the adhesive for 3 minutes. Acidic environment can loosen the glial structure, and then gently scrape it off with a blunt edge. This method has a more significant effect on dried mucus.

When handling jackfruit mucus, it is recommended to wear disposable gloves to prevent adhesion. If mucus enters the eyes, it needs to be washed with plenty of water immediately. Jackfruit can be cut daily after being refrigerated. Low temperature can reduce mucus secretion. After cleaning, use hand cream containing glycerin to moisturize the skin and avoid repeated contact with mucus that can damage the stratum corneum. For individuals with allergies, if they experience redness, swelling, and itching after contact, they should seek medical treatment.
