The scale inside the tea bottle can be removed by soaking it in white vinegar, cleaning it with baking soda, dissolving it in citric acid, treating it with a special descaling agent, physical wiping, and other methods. The main components of scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide, and long-term accumulation may affect water quality and the service life of tea bottles.

1. Soak in white vinegar
Mix white vinegar with water in a 1:1 ratio and pour it into a tea bottle. Let it stand for more than 2 hours to allow the acetic acid to fully react with calcium carbonate. Aging scale can prolong soaking time or enhance solubility by heating vinegar water. After treatment, rinse repeatedly with clean water to remove residual acetic acid and avoid affecting the taste of subsequent use. This method is suitable for acid resistant materials such as glass and stainless steel inner tanks.
2. Baking soda cleaning
Take an appropriate amount of baking soda powder and mix it with warm water to make a paste. Dip a soft cloth in it and repeatedly wipe the inner wall. The weak alkalinity of baking soda can neutralize acidic scale, and its grinding effect helps to remove stubborn deposits. After processing, the inner container should be washed with boiling water to prevent alkaline residue. Ceramic and enamel tea bottles are suitable for this method.
3. Dissolve 5 grams of food grade citric acid in 200 milliliters of hot water, pour into a tea bottle and shake to allow the liquid to touch all the inner walls. Citric acid chelation can decompose mineral deposits. After 30 minutes, pour out the solution and brush the gaps with a toothbrush. This method leaves no odor residue after cleaning and is suitable for descaling plastic tea bottles.
4. Special descaling agent

Choose a food contact grade descaling agent containing hydroxyacetic acid or polyacrylic acid, dilute it according to the instructions and soak it. This type of preparation is designed for hard scale and can quickly decompose sediment without damaging the inner liner coating. When handling electric water bottles, it is important to rinse thoroughly to avoid corrosion of the heating elements.
5. Physical wiping
For minor scale, a sponge dipped in salt particles can be used to polish, or a nylon brush combined with neutral detergent can be used to scrub. The microporous structure of nano sponge can effectively adsorb loose scale, and avoid using hard objects such as steel wire balls to scratch the surface of the inner liner during operation. This method is suitable as a daily maintenance tool.
Regularly cleaning the inner pot of tea bottles can extend the service life of the utensils, and it is recommended to handle it once a month. Try to use boiled and cooled soft water for daily use to reduce the formation of scale. Before the first use after cleaning, boil water twice to remove residual cleaning agents, and keep the inner container dry during storage. If the scale is accompanied by an odor or discoloration, it is necessary to consider replacing the inner container to prevent the precipitation of heavy metals.
