The iron lid of canned peaches in sugar water can be safely opened using hot water soaking, rubber band assistance, or a professional can opener. When opening the lid, attention should be paid to preventing slipping and cutting, and avoiding excessive force that may cause the glass bottle to break.

1. Hot water soaking method
Invert the can and soak it in hot water at about 80 ℃ for 3 minutes. The principle of thermal expansion and contraction will cause gaps between the metal lid and the glass bottle mouth. After soaking, dry the bottle body and wrap it with a dry towel. Rotate the bottle cap counterclockwise to easily open it. This method is suitable for undeformed iron covers, and the sealing rubber ring can be softened at high temperatures to reduce the opening resistance. Wear heat-resistant gloves during operation to avoid scalding from hot water splashes.
2. Rubber Band Assistance Method
Wrap a wide rubber band 3-5 times around the edge of the iron cover to increase the friction between the palm and the metal cover. Grasp the lower part of the bottle tightly with your left hand and rotate counterclockwise with your right hand. Rubber bands can effectively solve the problem of slipping hands, especially suitable for cans with condensed water after refrigeration. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, thicker rubber gloves can be replaced or silicone anti slip pads can be used to enhance grip strength.

3. Professional can opener
uses a lever type can opener to clamp the lid edge and gradually pry open the sealing ring through the mechanical force of the handle.

After opening the can, it should be consumed as soon as possible or transferred to a glass container for refrigeration to avoid prolonged contact with acidic sugar solution on the metal inner wall. Unopened cans should be stored in a cool and dry place. If the lid is found to be swollen, corroded, or leaking, it should be discarded immediately. You can choose a can opener equipped with silicone anti slip pads for daily use. For the elderly or those with weak hands, it is recommended to prioritize using an electric can opener. Before consumption, pay attention to checking the flesh for any abnormal discoloration or odor to ensure food safety.
