How to lose weight quickly with heavy dampness

People with heavy dampness need to combine spleen strengthening and dampness elimination with scientific weight loss, mainly through dietary adjustments, exercise interventions, traditional Chinese medicine conditioning, and other methods to improve weight loss.

1. Dietary Adjustment

Reduce the intake of high sugar and high-fat foods, and increase the use of spleen strengthening and dampness promoting ingredients such as Job's tears, adzuki beans, and yam. For breakfast, you can eat barley Congee with broccoli, steamed fish and brown rice for lunch, and Winter melon soup for dinner. Avoid chilled drinks and raw and cold fruits, recommend steaming and stewing for cooking, and limit fried foods. Daily water intake should be controlled at 1500-2000 milliliters, and corn silk tea or Poria cocos tea can be consumed in portions.

2. Aerobic exercise

Choose low impact aerobic exercises such as jogging, brisk walking, or swimming, and stick to them 4-5 times a week for 30-45 minutes each time. It is recommended to exercise during the spleen meridian period from 9-11am, with a moderate intensity of sweating. Wipe off sweat promptly after exercise and avoid direct blowing. Practice three sets of the "single lift for regulating spleen and stomach" technique from the Eight Section Brocade daily.

3. Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment [SEP]: Under the guidance of a physician, medicinal herbs such as Shen Ling Bai Zhu San and Xiang Sha Liu Jun Wan can be used to invigorate the spleen and dispel dampness. For those with thick and greasy tongue coating, Huoxiang Zhengqi Capsules can be taken for a short period of time, and when accompanied by edema, Wuling Capsules can be used in combination. Herbal tea substitutes can be brewed with 10g of Huangqi and 5g of Chenpi in boiling water, with one dose taken daily for 2 consecutive weeks. The use of traditional Chinese medicine materials should be treated based on syndrome differentiation and avoid long-term self medication.

4. Daily routine management

Ensure to go to bed before 23:00 and fast for 2 hours before bedtime. In the morning, you can massage your abdomen clockwise with your palm 100 times, and soak your feet in mugwort for 15 minutes at night. Maintain ventilation and dehumidification in the living room, with humidity maintained at 50% -60%. Perform cupping therapy once a week, with a focus on the acupoints of the bladder meridian on the back. Avoid prolonged sitting in wetlands or wearing clothes that are not completely dry.

5. Metabolic monitoring

Measure body fat percentage and waist hip ratio at fixed times every week, record changes in tongue coating and bowel movements. If there are symptoms of dampness and heat such as bitter mouth and yellow moss, adjust the dampness removal plan in a timely manner. It is recommended to control the weight loss rate at 2-3 kilograms per month to avoid rapid weight loss and worsening spleen deficiency. Patients with endocrine disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome need to receive synchronous treatment for underlying diseases. During weight loss, individuals with high humidity should pay special attention to daily pressure on the Zusanli and Fenglong acupoints, wear breathable cotton clothing, and reduce outdoor exercise on rainy days. In the recipe, you can add Tonic Diet such as fried white lentils, and Congee of Gorgon Euryale Poria Cocos, and you should avoid mango, durian, and other moisturizing fruits. Timely replenish electrolyte water after exercise, and maintain a right side lying position during sleep to aid in the digestion of the spleen and stomach. If the symptoms of body weakness and edema do not improve after 3 months of conditioning, it is recommended to seek systematic conditioning from a traditional Chinese medicine department.
