How to cook Sichuan scallops and pears to relieve cough

Chuanbei and Pear Boiling Water to Relieve Cough is a commonly used dietary therapy in traditional Chinese medicine, suitable for symptoms such as dry lungs, cough, and low and viscous phlegm. 1. Material selection

Steam in a bowl with water for 30 minutes until the pear flesh is soft and tender. During the steaming process, the pear juice and medicinal solution naturally blend together. When drinking, consume the pear flesh together.

4. Matching adjustment

Cough accompanied by sore throat can be boiled with 3 grams of honeysuckle, and for those with excessive phlegm, 3 grams of dried tangerine peel can be used to treat gasification phlegm. Diabetes patients should halve pears and remove rock sugar, and use siraitia fruit for flavoring. The dosage for children should be halved, and it is recommended to follow medical advice for those under 3 years old.

5. Contraindications for use

It is contraindicated for those with wind cold cough, phlegm white and thin, as it may worsen symptoms. If diarrhea occurs, it should be discontinued. Pregnant women and those with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold should use Chuanbei with caution. If coughing persists for more than two weeks or is accompanied by symptoms such as fever, chest pain, hemoptysis, etc., it is necessary to seek medical attention promptly to check for diseases such as pneumonia and tuberculosis. Dietary therapy is only used for auxiliary regulation, and severe respiratory infections require treatment with antibiotics or antiviral drugs.
