How to clean contact lenses with chili peppers

Stop wearing contact lenses immediately after they have been exposed to chili, and thoroughly rinse the surface of the lenses with care solution. The irritating ingredients in chili peppers may damage the lens material or cause discomfort to the eyes, and should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before use.

Place the contact lenses in the palm of your hand, pour in a sufficient amount of multifunctional care solution, and gently rub from the center outwards with fingertips for at least 10 seconds. The surfactants in the care solution can decompose oil and residual capsaicin, and the kneading action can enhance the cleaning effect. Flip the lens and repeat the above steps to ensure that there are no chili particles attached on both sides. After cleaning, soak in a mirror box filled with fresh care solution for more than 4 hours, and use disinfectant ingredients to neutralize residual irritants. If the lens is deformed, scratched, or still feels stinging after cleaning, it may have been corroded by chili ingredients. Capsaicin in chili peppers can damage the hydrophilic layer of lenses, leading to accelerated protein deposition. In such cases, new lenses need to be replaced. For individuals with sensitive eyes, it is recommended to rinse the conjunctival sac with artificial tears after cleaning to avoid any trace residue that may cause congestion or burning sensation.

The beauty pupil must be kept away from the kitchen and other oil smoke areas in daily storage. Wear glasses before using spray products when making up. Choosing a hydrogen peroxide care system containing hydrogen peroxide can effectively decompose organic pollutants, but it needs to be used in conjunction with a neutralization cup. Before wearing, check the transparency and smoothness of the lens edges. If there is any abnormal turbidity or burrs, stop using immediately. Use up the care solution within three months after opening to avoid secondary contamination caused by ineffective preservatives.
