Can Xiaomi's rice washing water reduce inflammation

Xiaomi's rice washing water has a certain anti-inflammatory effect, but the effect is limited and varies from person to person. Taomi water contains vitamin B group, starch and a small amount of minerals, which may have an auxiliary relieving effect on mild skin inflammation, but cannot replace drug treatment in severe inflammation or wound infection. The anti-inflammatory effect of rice washing water mainly comes from its weakly acidic environment and starch components. Starch can form a protective film to isolate external stimuli, while vitamins B2 and B6 help repair the skin barrier. The commonly used cooling rice water in folk culture is used to clean lightly sunburned or mosquito bitten areas, and its gentle nature is suitable for sensitive skin. For chronic problems such as acne or eczema, continuous use may help alleviate redness and swelling, but it needs to be accompanied by regular treatment.

Rice washing water has no significant effect on bacterial infections or deep inflammation. Common pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus cannot be killed by rice washing water, and the use of open wounds may also increase the risk of infection. The inflammatory reaction of diabetes patients and people with low immunity is complex, and self use of rice washing water may delay treatment. Some people may develop contact dermatitis after being exposed to rice washing water, manifested as increased itching or spreading rash. When skin inflammation occurs, cold compress with rice washing water can be used first to observe the reaction, but if the redness, swelling, heat and pain persist or worsen, it should be stopped immediately. Daily storage of rice washing water requires refrigeration and should not exceed 24 hours to prevent microbial growth. Serious acne, fungal infection or trauma should prioritize the use of regular medications such as iodine and mupirocin ointment, and rice water should only be used as a cleaning aid. Keep the affected area dry and clean, avoid scratching and irritation, and seek medical attention promptly for bacterial culture and drug sensitivity testing if necessary.
