Lidong can usually be treated with moxibustion and guasha, but it needs to be adjusted according to individual constitution and health condition. Moxibustion and guasha are traditional external treatment methods in traditional Chinese medicine. Proper use during the beginning of winter can help dispel cold, warm yang, and clear meridians. However, caution should be exercised for those with weak constitution or sensitive skin. Moxibustion is particularly suitable during the beginning of winter, when the natural yang energy is restrained, and the human body is prone to slow circulation of qi and blood, as well as hypothermia of hands and feet. Ai Ye is warm in nature, and through the heat generated by combustion, it can penetrate acupoints, warm up the spleen and kidney yang qi, and improve common symptoms such as joint cold pain and diarrhea in winter. It is recommended to choose health points such as Guanyuan and Zusanli, and use mild moxibustion for 15-20 minutes each time. But those with yin deficiency and excessive fire may experience symptoms such as dry mouth and sore throat, and hypertensive patients should avoid moxibustion at acupoints such as Baihui in the head. Scraping can promote the circulation of qi during the beginning of winter, and has a good effect on the early stages of wind cold and cold. Use a cow horn board to gently scrape along the bladder meridian or Du meridian until the skin is slightly red. However, for those with weak physical constitution, scraping time should not be too long, and for those with coagulation dysfunction, it should be prohibited. Keep the environment warm during operation and avoid contact with cold water within 3 hours after scraping.
In some special circumstances, moxibustion and guasha should be temporarily suspended. Scraping during acute fever may worsen symptoms, and moxibustion on damaged skin can easily lead to infection. Pregnant women are prohibited from applying moxibustion to acupoints such as the lumbar and sacral regions and the Sanyinjiao area. For patients with severe cardiovascular disease, the scraping force should be particularly gentle. Performing these two therapies after drinking alcohol, on an empty stomach, or during excessive fatigue may induce fainting. If discomfort such as palpitations and cold sweats occurs after operation, stop immediately and drink warm sugar water. After moxibustion and scraping therapy at the beginning of winter, it is recommended to drink ginger and red date tea to help sweat and dispel cold, and avoid consuming raw and cold fruits and vegetables for 24 hours. It can be used with pickled feet to enhance the curative effect. Add 20g wormwood leaf and pepper to the water and boil them to 40 ℃. Pay attention to keeping the neck, waist, and abdomen warm in daily life. People with yang deficiency constitution can often massage the Yongquan acupoint. If the symptoms do not improve or worsen after conditioning, seek medical attention promptly to investigate organic diseases.
