Can eye bags be eliminated once they form

Once formed, eye bags usually cannot be eliminated on their own, but can be improved through medical means. Eye bags are mainly caused by fat swelling, skin laxity, or muscle weakness, and targeted treatment plans need to be selected according to different types.

1. Non surgical methods

are suitable for mild eye bags or early prevention. Radiofrequency therapy stimulates collagen contraction through thermal energy, improving skin laxity; Laser treatment can lighten pigmentation and tighten the skin. Injecting hyaluronic acid to fill the tear groove can visually reduce eye bag protrusion, but the effect needs to be repeated for 6-12 months.

2. Endodontic surgery

is used to remove excess orbital fat through a conjunctival incision for fatty eye bags, without the need for suturing and with fast recovery. Suitable for young people with good skin elasticity, it can reduce swelling 5-7 days after surgery, but cannot improve skin laxity.

3. External incision surgery

is suitable for moderate to severe eye bags with loose skin. During the operation, excess fat and skin are removed, and the incision is concealed along the root of the eyelashes. A recovery period of 1-2 weeks is required, and there may be brief scars left, but the effect can last for more than 5 years.

4. Comprehensive treatment [SEP]: For patients with lacrimal groove depression, fat replacement surgery can be combined to fill the bulging fat into the depression. If accompanied by drooping eyebrows, eyebrow lifting surgery is needed as an auxiliary measure, and a doctor needs to evaluate the overall degree of facial aging and design a plan.

5. Daily Maintenance

Staying up late and consuming a high salt diet can worsen eye bags, so it is necessary to ensure sleep and limit sodium intake. Cold compress can temporarily relieve edema, while caffeinated eye cream can promote microcirculation, but cannot reverse structural eye bags.

It is recommended to seek medical attention to clarify the cause of eye bags. For those aged 20-30 with fat displacement, the internal incision method can be chosen. For those aged 40 and above with obvious skin laxity, external incision is more suitable. After surgery, it is necessary to avoid rubbing the eyes and wearing contact lenses. Strict sun protection is required to prevent pigmentation. Non surgical methods require 3-5 courses of treatment, with a maintenance effect of about 1-2 years.
